New Application for Mandatory Licence

Mandatory licences are for large HMO’s as of the 1st of October 2018, these are 5 or more people forming 2 or more unrelated households sharing facilities. This is now irrespective of the number of floors.

Mandatory licence is an indefinite scheme. Each licence lasts 5 years from issue date unless otherwise stated on your licence.

Please note that you will have 6 weeks from the day you start your application to submit. Failure to complete your application within the 6 weeks may result in enforcement action being taken against you, and your licence fee may increase.
